Hold the probe and drag it to the tip of a leg. Tapping works too: first pick the probe, then the leg.

Set the range to continuity.

Measure step by step

Take the fuse out of its holder. A fuse has no direction: touch the probes to the two metal caps. Looking at the wire inside the glass tube is not always enough, a thin wire can be broken without being visible.

Before measuring, unplug the device and take the fuse out of its holder. Never measure with the Ω or continuity range in a circuit with voltage on it.
