Hold the probe and drag it to the tip of a leg. Tapping works too: first pick the probe, then the leg.

Set the range to diode test.

Measure step by step

A photodiode is measured like a normal diode in the dark. In light it produces a small voltage: you read this on the V⎓ range from anode to cathode.

  1. 1Forward: in the dark, red on the anode
  2. 2Reverse: red on the cathode
  3. 3Under light V⎓: red on the anode
