Hold the probe and drag it to the tip of a leg. Tapping works too: first pick the probe, then the leg.

Set the range to AC voltage.

Measure step by step

This guide only measures a low-voltage, isolated AC output (12 V~ adapter or signal generator). AC voltage is read as RMS on the V~ range; it has no direction, so probe placement does not matter. The V⎓ range shows the average of a sine wave, which is about zero.

This app does not measure mains voltage. Never put a probe into a wall socket; measure only isolated low-voltage outputs.
