Measure step by step
In an electric bell, the coil and the contact breaker are in series: between the pins you measure the coil resistance and the closed contact together (about 30 Ω in this guide). The hammer hitting the gong cannot be seen with a multimeter.
Use the bell in a low-voltage circuit; take the measurement with its supply cut off.
